Waterproofing systems, such as the Air Gap Membrane System can provide the solution to creating these usable areas. These cavity drainage systems can also be used to treat areas that have been subjected to penetrating damp or water ingress.
These systems involve a studded membrane being fixed to the wall with special fixings sealed with sealing tape. If the floors are damp or the areas being treated are below ground level, this membrane can be linked to a floor membrane
In situations where dampness occurs through hydrostatic pressure, the membrane system can be linked to an aqua channel which is then linked to a sump and pump.
